A lifetime warranty on ceramic coatings might sound too good to be true - and that's because, in most cases, it is.

 

While some companies offer this type of warranty, it’s important to understand that it's often not as "lifetime" as it appears.

Here’s the reality: Ceramic coatings, regardless of how advanced the technology is, are not invincible. While they provide excellent protection for your vehicle's paint, they are not immune to wear and tear. Over time, environmental factors like harsh weather, road salts, heavy contaminants, and regular washing can degrade the coating's effectiveness.

What many companies offering lifetime warranties don’t tell you is that their definition of “lifetime” often only refers to the duration of the coating’s initial effectiveness, not a permanent, maintenance free shield. These warranties often come with a lot of caveats, including strict requirements for upkeep, specific methods, or periodic reapplications.
